Third Eye - Your Upper Dan Tian and Key Energy Center

The Third Eye is the 5th key energy center that Master Sha teaches. Just about everyone knows something about the Third Eye, but perhaps many do not fully understand what the Third Eye is and why it's important.

What is the Third Eye?
The Third Eye, also known as the Upper Dan Tian, is a cherry-sized energy center located in the center of your head. Specifically, from the midpoint between your eyebrows, draw a line going straight up to the top of your head. Draw another line from the tops of both ears to the top of the head. At the point where these two lines cross, go down three "cun" (a Chinese measurement the size of the width of your thumb knuckle) into the center of your head. This is where the Third Eye is located. It corresponds with the pineal gland.

Why Develop the Third Eye?
The Third Eye is one of he major spiritual centers of the body. When you develop it, you will be able to see spiritual images, enabling you to gain more wisdom and knowledge from the Soul World. The Third Eye also supports Mind Power.

How to Develop the Third Eye?
Before doing any practice to develop the Third Eye, it is important to develop a strong foundation and in particular, a strong Kundalini area, as this area supports the Third Eye. Without a strong foundation, developing or using the Third Eye can cause you to become tired and weak. This can lead to other health conditions.

There are other reasons not to develop the Third Eye also. For example, if you have headaches, hypertension, glaucoma, a brain tumor, brain cancer, Alzheimer's or are recovering from a stroke, do not practice any Third Eye exercises.

If you are strong in your foundation and have none of these concerns, you can develop your Third Eye with the Four Power Techniques:

Body Power
Use One Hand Near, One Hand Far with both hands above the crown of your head on slightly opposite sides. (You can see page 319 in Soul Mind Body Medicine for a picture if you wish).

Soul Power
Dear soul, mind and body of my Third Eye, I love you.
Please develop your capabilities to see images of the spiritual world.
Dear soul, mind and body of my hands, of Sha's Golden Healing Ball, of all the cities and countries on Mother Earth, and countless planets, stars, galaxies and universes, I love you all.
Could you all work together? Expand my Third Eye. Turn my Third Eye into the entire universe to receive blessings from the entire universe.
I am honored and blessed.
Thank you. Thank you.Thank you.

Sound Power
Chant Sha's Golden Healing Ball over and over again.

Mind Power
Visualize two Sha's Golden Healing Balls - one flowing from both hands into you head and colliding and merging in your Third Eye. The merged ball spins counter clockwise. It expands in size and increase in brightness. Expand it out to your room, your neighborhood, your city, state and country, Mother Earth, and the solar system, galaxy and universe. Then contract the size of the ball back the same way, back to this size of your Third Eye. Then expand and contract it again. Do this repeatedly.

After you are finished, spend 5 minutes grounding yourself with a Lower Dan Tian practice, by placing your palms or yin yang palm on the Lower Dan Tian and chanting with Sha's Golden Healing Ball there. Do not be alarmed if you may experience a headache. This can be a sign of the Third Eye developing.

Remember not to force or be attached to opening your Third Eye. If it opens, say thank you. If it does not open, say thank you. Both are good outcomes.

This practice is adapted from Soul Mind Body Medicine pages 318-322. There is more information there on the development of the Third Eye.

Thank you for the opportunity to share this information. Practice well and properly. Be patient.  We can also apply Tao Hands to help develop the Third Eye. We are truly blessed!

With love,

Your Tao Hands Team
