Replace Worry with Love and Compassion - The Earth Element | Tao Hands

In the Five Elements model, the emotion of worry is held in the Earth Element, which includes the spleen, stomach, muscles, mouth, lips, teeth and gums. Blockages in the Earth Element can cause excessive worry, while excessive worry can also cause blockages in the Earth Element. This may show up in any of the Earth Element organs, systems, and body parts, but often shows in the spleen and stomach areas.

Love and compassion are the balanced emotions of the Earth Element. When we experience love and compassion, we are less prone to worry. Another way of stating this is that developing love and compassion balances out worry. At the same time, reducing worry makes way for more love and compassion in our lives.

Worry - What it does "To Us" and "For Us"
Excessive worry increases stress levels and this, as we all know, has deleterious effects on our bodies and our lives. Chronic worrying leads to over production of the stress hormones. This affects our brains by lowering our IQ and more, increases our chances of heart disease, cancer and premature aging, can create personal problems in relationships of all kinds, and may lead to depression and more. All of us have our own personal experience with the outcomes of "being stressed out".

As many of us suspect, most worry is unfounded. A recent study documented that 85% of what we worry about never actualizes. Of the 15%  of "worries" that do manifest in some form, they found that 79% of the people reported that they could handle the situation better than anticipated or that they learned valuable lessons in the experience. So indeed, most our worries are erroneously created in a fearful mind.

Some of us may use the term "worry" only to refer to that which is "negative" in it's form. However, just as some amount of stress in life is said to be good for us, the same may be said for light forms of worry. New evidence suggests that to worry in moderation  can lead to benefits, such as preparing for predicted problems or disasters, engaging in more problem solving as well as prevention, such as screening for cancer or keeping vehicles in good repair. In moderation, folks can use "worry" to motive themselves toward better outcomes. Such folks may enjoy higher performance on the job and in school.

Balance the Earth Element and Replace Worry with Love and Compassion
There are simple, soulful practices we can do to bring ourselves into balance. All of Master Sha's books are dedicated to teaching us how to bring ourselves into a state of soul mind body alignment, health and balance. Here is one practice we can do to balance our Earth Element.

Body Power
Sit straight and place one palm on the lower abdomen or ming men point (directly across from the navel on the backside) and one palm on the spleen/stomach area.

Soul Power
Dear Divine and Tao,
I love, honor and appreciate you.
You have the power to heal and bless my Earth Element and spleen and stomach, to remove blockages associated with worry and develop my love and compassion.
Please bless my my Earth Element as I practice.
Thank you.

Dear my beloved Earth Element, stomach and spleen and all blockages related to the unbalanced emotion of worry.
I love you.
You have the power to heal and balance yourselves and to increase your love and compassion.
Do a good job.
Thank you.

Dear all the souls who have been hurt or harmed in association with these blockages.
I am deeply sorry.
Please forgive my ancestors and me for our mistakes.
I am very grateful.
I forgive you and all souls who may have harmed me.
Let us release one another in Love Peace and Harmony, in love and compassion.

[For Tao Hands Practitioners]
Dear Tao Hands,
I love you.
Please offer an appropriate blessing to my Earth Element.
Thank you. I'm very grateful.

Mind Power
Visualize beautiful light filling your spleen and stomach area. Imagine love and compassion melting blockages and transforming and your spleen and stomach so that they have big, bright, smiling and happy souls.

Sound Power
Chant two mantras. First chant the Tao Song Mantra for the Earth Element (found in Tao Song Tao Dance book) and then chant the Divine Love and Compassion mantra:
Gong Ya You Tao
Gong Ya You Tao
Gong Ya You Tao
Gong Ya You Tao
Gong Ya You Tao...

Divine Love and Compassion
Divine Love and Compassion
Divine Love and Compassion
Divine Love and Compassion....

To finish, say, "Hao. Hao. Hao. (perfect; get well). Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."

We are so blessed to have practices that can help us release blockages and align our souls, hearts, minds and bodies with good health, happiness and more.

To balance your Earth Element further, make a point to give yourself and others more love and compassion. When you find yourself worrying, chant to transform it and find a way to bring yourself and the situation love and compassion. This can change your life.

We are so pleased to share this wisdom.

Thank you.

With love,

Your Tao Hands Team
